We provide archaeological services to cover all Aboriginal and Historical cultural heritage projects, including research, risk assessments, field surveys, archaeological test-pitting and excavation; and technical reporting.
Usually engaged during the business case or design phase of a project, our advice ensures that prior to ground being broken, our archaeological services provide legislative advice, detailed archaeological assessment of each project’s potential risks, management recommendations and mitigation strategies. This advice ensures our clients’ are confidently working within the guidelines of relevant legislation that guides cultural heritage.
Our multidisciplinary team can fulfil all facets of the requirements for cultural heritage projects, including identification, analysis and cataloguing of artefacts, including stone tools and human/animal bones.
I have worked with Sher & Chris on several projects that required their expertise in cultural & heritage survey. Their knowledge and understanding of country, ensures thorough risk assessment reporting delivered with the respect our first nations people deserve.
I would recommend and will continue to use Advance Archaeology for all our cultural heritage survey needs.

Sher and I worked together during my time as a Project Manager with TMR delivering one of our more complex major infrastructure planning projects. I was very impressed with her approach to providing sound and comprehensive Cultural Heritage and Archaeological advice and its impacts and implications for our projects. I would, without a doubt be happy to collaborate with Sher again, hopefully in the near future.

Ripple Beach Media had the pleasure of contracting Advance Archaeology to complete a large scale, 2-day project which took in the expanse from Savages Crossing, Lockyer Valley to Morningside, Brisbane in August 2019. As a drone operator, Chris was outstanding in his skill and determination to capture the best experiences for our project. Chris was enthusiastic and accommodating to all our needs and we are eager to work with Advance Archaeology again.

My name is Conrad Bauwens and I am a Traditional Owner of this land. I've had the privilege of working with Sher for many, many years now, and have worked with her in a professional setting on a number of occasions. I cannot speak highly enough of Sher and can honestly say that she holds true to her beliefs and values, and has a great standard of ethics; which is both an admirable and rare quality. Furthermore, Sher has an incredible wealth of knowledge in various legislation (related to, but not limited to) cultural heritage. Sher possesses an equally abundant and impressive amount of knowledge of practical fieldwork and the implementation of archaeological methodology. Her level of academic and professional competence is seldom accompanied by the ability to engage with the Indigenous community and win both their confidence and trust. This is something that cannot be learned and is an innate personal quality, integral to building relationships with people.
